DeskAlerts, desktop notification alert solution, has expanded functionality of the DeskAlerts API. Many find DeskAlerts to be a superior business communication to traditional email. Its API allowed for custom add-ons and integration with third party software and applications. Over the weekend, new functionality went live for all DeskAlerts users. The new functionality came directly from user feedback and requests.

The increased capacity to effectively communicate through DeskAlerts comes through three API enhancements. First, alerts can now be sent with different parameters to email, desktops, and mobile phones through SMS. Second, the alerts can now be sent to specified users, groups or organizational units only. Finally, The DeskAlerts organizational structure has been simplified and easier to understand for API users.
The DeskAlerts API is RESTful. While the platform is completely web-based, the API allows developers to integrate DeskAlerts with third party applications and internal workflows. For more information, visit the latest release announcement.
